The Skytypers Airshow Team is a team of 5 North American SNJ aircraft flown by highly experienced Warbird pilots, many of whom flew in the military. The team has performed at large shows throughout the country for over 20 years. The performance and its narration pays tribute to the history of the aircraft and the tactical maneuvers they were designed for in the military. Their demonstration is an exciting collection of max performance precision maneuvers designed to be pleasing to the spectators as well as to explain their purpose.
In addition to their air show performance, the Skytypers may be most famous for their skytyped messages in the sky. Known as the world’s largest text messages, skytyping is 17 times faster than skywriting and produces a letter every four seconds. The messages are as tall as the Empire State Building and can extend up to 8 miles in length. These billboards in the sky are visible from up to 15 miles in any direction or nearly 400 square miles.
